After seeing The Knitters perform Friday night, my schoolgirl crush on John Doe was reignited. I think he’s aging beautifully, stepping right into that silver-fox sexiness with ease that doesn’t always happen for every guy. Sometimes he wears some weird shit (a burlap vest? Who else could get away with that but John-Fucking-Doe?) but it’s his voice that makes me melt. I swear, he could sing “
Do the fucking dishes, Helldini!” to me and I would… after I picked myself up off the floor! Sure, his solo stuff isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, and most people have only listened to a handful off X songs (if any), but there’s no denying the greatness that is John Doe!
